Star LAN Printer

Basic Unboxing

• Unbox printer and ensure all cables are in packaging
• This includes power cable, DK cable, VGA cable, and printer paper

• Connect device to power

• Connect device to Ethernet
• This will be wired directly from your router or Ethernet switch to your printer

Network Set Up

• Navigate to your POS
• Ensure that the POS is on the same network as the printer
• Scan for Printer
• Log into POS
• Click Menu Icon in the top left
• Hardware
• Printers
• Select Star and WiFi
• Scan
• Select Printer
• Enter printer name, printer group, cash drawer name, printer brand, and model
• Select Add in the top right
• Set up Printer
• Select printer
• IF Receipt Printer enable “Receipt Printing”
• Select terminals (stations) this printer is allowed to print from
• Select service areas this printer is allowed to print from

Setting up Static Network

• Hold down feed button while powering on device
• Save the paper that prints out with the IP parameters to complete the following steps

• Navigate to Printers section in Hardware

• Select printer

• Click the IP address

• Enter Username and Password
• User: admin
• Password: root
• Resetting this password is not necessary. Click Cancel

• Click IP parameters in the left

• Select the “Static“ option

• Enter IP information from the print out in the first step

• Click Submit

• Select Save on the Left Side menu

• Chose the option “Save => Configuration printing => Restart device”

• Click Execute
